Doing a 180

Even with the best of intentions
We can find ourselves building in the wrong directions
Trusting someone who speaks from expertise and experience

Only later we find out in great distress
They lost their compass and were just seeking to impress

It isn’t easy to admit you’re going the wrong way
Especially when they say to turn back would end in great dismay.

But we must turn back

We must build in ways
Directed by a compass that holds true for both me and you

So know if there have been times when you needed to do a 180
Know its okay

You will have learned much along the way
To see it some time takes a number of tremendously difficult false starts
To find the truly compassionate way to make our mark
